Pari's birthday party went well, attendance was low due to the snow but 5 little girls ran around mostly together and had fun. They got to pet some animals and eat carrot cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and rainbow sprinkles (hey, it's what she wanted). Afterwards we came home to pizza dough that I apparently forgot to add yeast to (damn, haven't done that in ages). So I ran to a couple of stores and came back with Little Caesars for dinner.

Among Pari's gifts was Lego Star Wars for the Wii, which has all 6 episodes and better graphics. It also has a preview for Lego Indiana Jones coming out in 2008, which should be fun. We made it through about 3 scenarios (Pari and I), before it was way past her bed time. It's strange using the Wii-motes for controlling since the buttons are different, but at least you don't have to rely on movement to make things happen (although you can swing the Wii-mote to attack, a button does the same). I think we'll have the entire story line done in a week or two, and attack the free play sessions after that for all the bonus stuff.

I also traded a loaf of challah for a 20 inch monitor a friend was clearing out (damn, it was heavy!) We'll hook it up tonight or tomorrow. I'm all out of bread flour, and it's bothering me more than it really should. Sam's Club run this week, weather permitting. Also dangerously low on olive oil.

We also got the kids room remarkably clean for the moment. It's almost strange to see the floor.

Lego Star Wars? Wow, that sounds fun! And insane, but insane makes for fun!

It is fun, and the violence consists of lego people going to pieces then coming back together, so it's not bad for kids. Pari is real good at it, although getting her to cooperate on joint tasks can be an effort at times.
