Today was Kiyan's first day of preschool. He mostly wandered around exploring the environment, they don't expect too much circle activity right away at his age. It went well, and that means 2 hours a day for me to do whatever I want.

Today's bread experiment involved my usual double batch of dough, using the mixer for the second knead, one loaf shaped right away and the other set aside for a second rise before shaping. I think that using the mixer prevented the loaf from attaining it's usual fullness, I'll see how the second loaf is after cooling. Overall it's been interesting seeing how the dough reacts after an extra proof, but may not be feasible for regular baking just because it adds at least an extra 30-50 minutes to an already long process.

Right now Pari is fighting sleep as only a nearly 6 year old can.
