|Our day in brief...
||[May. 19th, 2007|04:34 pm]
The morning started with a run through Farmer's Market, besides breakfast and a delightful conversation with a couple of women who'd seen farmers markets in the 1930's we also scored a half dozen goose eggs, which are huge and will make a couple of delightful omelette's tomorrow morning. Before we left a bunch of really strange cars stared showing up, and we found out that the art car parade was at noon. So a quick run home for water, camera and better shoes. We at at Chipotles and watched the parade on Mass Street, then went home. |
While Marz and the kids watched a movie, I got the lawn mowed, a bit of weeding done, another row dug for the patio foundation, and finally put the hosta that Sister gave me into the ground. Tomorrow I'll dump some sand in the corner and see about filling the pool for the summer. The ground isn't quite level in the corner of the yard, and the pool was listing. Sand should level the ground and provide a better bottom for what is essentially a giant open top water balloon.
Tonight is KaCSFFS meetup, so we feed the kids and head out in a bit. The only real plans I have are to make some preferment for a bit of bread experimentation tomorrow or Monday, whenever the timing works out (gotta love fridged preferment, it's good for many days so if your plans change it's no big deal).
