Trying to clean with 2 kids is like attempting to clean up after hurricane Katrina with a mop and bucket. Right now Kiyan is clingy so I can't be out of sight for too long or he fusses, he and Pari are both removing toys from whatever bin I put them in about as fast as I clean. I can't mop without the kids walking all over it to see what I'm doing. At least Pari is keeping herself amused for the most part elsewhere, but Kiyan is constantly underfoot. And his lack of napping in the afternoon cuts out about 2 hours of free cleaning time for me. My remaining sanity circles the bowl before going down the toilet.

On the up side, tomorrow I hit Naka-Kon in the late morning for some photo fun with costumed friends. I should take the laptop and card reader just in case, I can always leave them in the trunk if they don't get used. Camera is ready, memory cards and batteries all in one place.

Pari has a birthday party to attend tomorrow, so she'll shop for a gift with Marz tonight after dinner. I have completed my task of upping the recipe for the chili to match the gallon cans I have of beans and diced tomatoes. I essentially multiply everything by 7. It should be a sizable amount, but won't come up past halfway in my largest stock pot. I figure I may just do up the entire batch Sunday and just fill the crockpot on Monday for the reheat and serve. If it's all gone I can heat up more fast enough on the stove or in the micronuke.

So probably tonight I'll get the final ingredients so I can cook on Sunday. I must also remember to get more granola for cookies, I can't have bread and chili without some sort of dessert.

Have you tried Kiyan in a pack or Ergo on your back while mopping? It doesn't work for leaning over jobs, but I've done it for some chores.

I only like using the Ergo when we are out and about, I never got the hang of loading him in alone. But he'll be over the clingy phase soon enough.
