My excitement for the morning was to change the dryer vent hose. I had detached it from the back of the dryer and the hole in the wall, and was working the mega-lint bundles out when the hose self-destructed in a cloud of gray ling *cough-sneeze*. So it's off to Home Depot, where I discover the standard has gone from white plastic to silver foil hose since the last time I changed it. Some monkeying around, it's all clear and the dryer should get the loads dry on the first time from now on.

On the Animal Crossing news (which I'm sure you are all waiting for), I cleared out a large patch of woods above the falls and am working on a massive cherry orchard. My orchards bring in incredible amounts of wealth on a regular basis, but if left unattended the trees stop bearing fruit. I suspect that some of the orchards will need to be cleared out and replanted on occasion. The apple orchard I planted yesterday is doing well, and suddenly the snow is all gone (the game follows real time both during the day and seasonal.) It's difficult to see the pears in the suddenly green trees, so I think that cherries, apples and oranges are going to be the orchard favorites.

And to any Bahai's out there, happy Ayamiha. Tonight we give many gifts to the children and go to a gathering where we will eat many desserts.

Hmmm... I suspect our dryer vent has never been cleaned.... Must speak to the Lord of Laundry about that.... Meanwhile, our washer is on the fritz, and the Lord of Laundry had to visit LaundryLand this weekend. He was not amused. Now we must decide -- repair or replace? And then there's the issue of our to schedule service or delivery when we're both working.
