From the altfriday5:
1. Who was the last new friend that you made?
If I updated my friends list, probably the_jenny_of_oz. We had a bonding moment after a hand fasting (nothiing dramatic, just finding front gate and our cars in the dark) but in my experience it's the little bonding moments that turn vague acquaintances into potential friends, even if just on lj.
2. How often do you make new friends?
Random occasions. I make acquantances quite often, forming into ongoing friendship takes a "bonding moment" (see above).
3. How do you usually meet new friends?
Through other people I know, its the tenuous connnection that allows initial trust.
4. How easy you find it to make new friends? How easy did you find it to make new friends as a child?
I make acquaintances real easy, friends pretty easy but it requires circumstances that enforce the friendship like a mutual interest or place that we always show up. I didn't make friends as quickly as a child, but did pretty fast in college.
5. Have you ever made a new friend online? If yes, tell us about a memorable instance.
A couple of people added me to their lj because of a mutual friend or interest, just this year I met 2 of them for the first time. Nothing dramatic, just kinda nice and friendly. Maybe they just likes blondes, I dunno.
# Given a choice, and imagining that money and time were no object, would you rather cook dinner, eat out or order in?
Eat out with a bunch of friends. Sometimes the food just doen't matter as much as the company.
# What is the most elaborate meal you've ever prepared yourself or purchased at a restaurant?
Pachamamas for our 11th anniversary. Marz liked it better than I did. But the roast pork was heavenly.
# What food do you find yourself making and/or eating way too much?
Many things. Banana bread because I sometimes overbuy bananas on Tues or Thurs (19 cents a pound) at Checkers, and they are overripe before they are eaten.
# What was your most disastrous cooking/eating out experience?
Setting food on fire in the broiler (3 times that I remember), an entire tray of cavatini flipping upside down on the kitchen floor (we said screw it and ordered pizza), spreading cookie dough into a pan for chocolate chip bars and having the whole thing slip from my hands into a trashcan full of pet litter. No brushing that off.
# Would you rather cook for someone else or have them cook for you?
Depends on how good of a cook they are. I have my specialties, but I'd rather bring a baked good and let someone else cook.
