20 pound project.... [Sep. 18th, 2006|03:49 pm]
Verminius Rex
I am beginning The 20 Pound Project, where I take 20 pounds of flour (half regular bread flour, half high gluten bread flour) and start baking bread with it occasionally for the next couple of months. Some flour may be added (wheat bread flour, rye flour, etc) but the bulk is from the 20 pounds marked for the project. Pictures will be taken and posted, recipes and critiques made on the various breads, and occasionally even a loaf giveaway to locals.

Today step 1 is taken, meaning I take those big bags of flour and start dividing them into gallon ziplock bags for storage.

I also got the necessary items for my shelf project. Now all I need is to cut some plywood I have in the basement for the shelves, put something under the feet so they won't scratch, and start assembling wood. Soon I'll have a wonderful set of shelves to hold kitchen appliances and move stuff off the counters.

You get more done in a day than I dream of in a week.

Only if I actually complete the projects do I get full credit, otherwise I have all the supplies for an endless stream of projects cluttering the house.
