starstraf to play with, see if I want to invest in one of my own. I also went to her place to get a sample of ink stamp on wood tokens, to see how durable/water resistant they are. I'm happy to say that they did very well. I don't know when I'll actually use them, but it was the knowledge of what sort of ink would be needed that I sought. Looks like typical craft inks (water based dye ink) works fine on wood, little to no bleeding and it survivied the water test. Today I'll cut up a few veggies and toss them on the dehydrator. I looked up an owners manual that should work well enough for starting out with basic veggies, onion and green peppers. My goal is to have a home made stew mix to top biscuits with. I have store bought jerky for the meat, no need to go all out on the initial attempt.
