and stays there.I think that I won the battle against the stubborn drain clog. Some combo of solids and grease teamed up to form a block, but thanks to all that pipework I redid recently getting a snake in there was much easier than the previous setup. After that a touch of plunger action, and now water actually goes down the drain |
Kiyan is still a touch warm but acting more like his usual cheerful self. Temp today was 101.something, so a dose of tylenol and a trip with both kids to the zoo did everyone some good. I'm planning weekly trips to the Topeka zoo for the next month or so, if anyone hasn't been in awhile and feels like tagging along just let me know.
I have several goals this weekend, including a bit of tailoring work on the latest Jerkin Project (whatever I called it this time.) I'll get the basic 4 pieces together and do a bit of tailoring before continuing. I'm starting out with the "basic" jerkin pattern I made years ago, and I'll modify it from there. Among the changes to this one is a closed front with keyhole neck and collar, and lacing on the side. Front closures just really don't do it for me right now in my never ending quest for the Perfect Renfest Jerkin Pattern. I'm also hoping to make matching gauntlets, to see if they would look cool or too dorky for words.
This will be a fairly busy weekend, between yard work and stuff in KC. Ugh. We are hoping to make it out to farmers market tomorrow, hope to see some of you there.
