I did up another batch of popovers, and out of curiosity put them in the oven right away rather than the hour at room temp wait. The diffrence is that they are filled with light fluff rather than a hollow inside. Works out well since I'm just tossing on some lemon curd and not filling it with anything (I though about filling it with curd and just imagined the potential mess.) But it fed us pretty well. Definitely going to be on the breakfast rotation in the future. I was going to photograph them for a breadbaking community but they were eaten too quickly. It would have been a pretty picture, too.

Darn those pastry eaters for ruining a good picture!

It would'a been pretty too, a dozen popovers in a bowl with a linen towel and a container of lemon curd on the side. Yum.

I am glad to not have the picture. I am weak against the yummy power of the pastry.
