It's funny, but some of the things that they seem to consider 'luxuries' aren't, necessarily, from my perspective. For example, I have my own cell phone because I didn't have a land line for five years, and the DVD player in my room is also a computer. I've been to Europe because my father was transferred there in the military.

I still came in well under 40, in fact barely 20, but it amuses me to think that a former military brat (filling all the travel requirements) living in a studio apartment somewhere (everything's in your bedroom in a studio apartment) sleeping on a secondhand queen-sized mattress on the floor and running a one-man web business out of his 12X12 room (thus requiring good computer and printer and high-speed access) could actually count as pretty darn spoiled no matter how much ramen he was eating.

I had 19 of them, and living in NY accounted for two. I am curious what my husband would get on this, because he can answer yes to more than I can. Still, I feel blessed to have what I do and I am not complaining! :)
