well, this has been a long day.... [Mar. 8th, 2005|02:53 pm]

After a very early (6:30am) breakfast with my parents, Marz went to work and I went to be a stay at home parent. Pari had her preschool group at the Prairie Park Nature Center, which we had to leave early after she refused to sit and listen a few dozen times. The screaming exit was less than graceful, but necessary. Then came a long nap for her, so I was able to get a few things done while watching Kiyan, including cooking a meal in a box (cheesburger macaroni, yum). My soreness is mostly gone, although picking stuff off the floor is less than fun, and usually accompanied by a melodramatic yet realistic groan.

Still concerned a bit about the momma juice supply, because with Pari we had a 6 week head start while she was in the NICU. We only have a bit in our freezer now, so there is the chance that we'll have to supplement with formula at the end of the day if all other baby beverage is gone. For militant breastfeeders and cloth diaperers like our family, this is annoying. But necessity wins out. All I can do is sit here and look pretty.

3 hours until Marz is back home, and I can get a shower. Funny how valuable those little things are when you have life forms demanding your attention all the time. And right now Pari is carrying around 2 yoga blocks covered with support straps from our old couch. She's entertained and not killing Kiyan, so I won't gripe.

at the natural food store here, you can at least get an organic formula, I can't remember the name, but you might look into it if you have to supplement.
