The good thing about the minivan is that it's a bigger vehicle for the family. The bad thing is now I have much more ice to remove before we can go anywhere.

Don't I know that one.

Today: 15 mins to get into truck (full size ford F150 extended cab)
1 hour of idling
30 mins of scraping ice.

Yesterday's score:

20 minutes of idling while scraping
2 scrappers.

Then it snowed on a warm car and I had to scrape (with broken scrapers) again this morning. It wasn't NEARLY as bad this morning, of course.

I had a hose from inside I could have directed to the truck and saved a lot of time ... except the first cup I put on made the engine do strange things.

I then figured dumping 40 gallons of water on it might not be such a good idea :).

I also broke my super cool 5' long scraper. Cheap POS. I REALLY liked the design .. just not the quality.

a SMALL price for the relatively little bit of ice we get around here in winter. :)

Two words:

Spray de-icer.
