Need help narrowing down baby names. [Nov. 19th, 2004|01:24 pm]
Verminius Rex
Ok, friends. We are due to expand the family unit in February, and coming up with names for the hatchling is proving to be harder the second time around. We go with Persian names because of my wife's religion (American Bahai's tend to give their children Persian names). So here are some Persian boy and girl names. Pick a couple, and post them here if you'd care to help.

Halazun wouldn't be too bad, but it means slug, and Marz said no.

I've always been partial to Leila, as well as Aziz/Aziza, and Hassan.

They are also names that most ignorant American teachers don't tend to butcher in pronunciation.

Then again, Roya is a very very pretty Persian name also. ;)

Boys-Adar, Basir, Cirus, Jalil, Karim, Malek

Here is another suggestion that is not Persian, but Bangali. A friend of mine is named Intez and I have always liked the name. I think it sounds neat.

Marz and pari's names are 3 letters apart, so I moved 3 letters before M and picked a J name :)

I like the meaning behind Jabbareh for a girl. Strong, firm.
Seemed approprite (hopefully)

I told marz she absolutely deserves a full-termer and if the lil one comes out sooner than that, i'll give it a piece of my mind ;)
