|Pari Chemise Attempt One...

I'm working on a chemise for Pari's renfest outfit. The first attempt went well, although I have to make some adjustments and try again tomorrow (not to mention the work on the bodice). I won't do a separate skirt to go over the chemise, it's wasted effort on a toddler, so I'll make the final chemise out of colored cotton. These are the results of the first attempt.|
The cuffs need to be taken in about an inch, and I'll narrow the sleeves just a touch. The length is perfect, and I have to decide how the collar works. I may A line out the skirt for a little more fullness, but not much. That too would be wasted on a toddler, and give them too much to walk around in. I consider this one done, since it would take more work to repair it than to make a new one that fits better (although I'll finish the collar so she can wear it as a nightgown.)
Now that I think about it, I can even simplify the pattern more so it's fewer pieces of fabric and quicker to make. The great thing about toddler clothing is that it takes much less fabric to finish a project, and less sewing time.
