Tights project, done in only about 30 minutes... [Jun. 18th, 2004|09:56 pm]

Well, Marz liked the London Broil. I had to put it back in for 3 minutes on a side so it was fully cooked, but for my first time I did ok. Afterwards, we hit Hancocks and I found a tights pattern recommended online (actually for bike shorts and pants, but works great.) Some crushed stretch velvet for test material (only $3.99 a yard, the other choices were more expensive and I didn't like them) and we head home. A few minutes to transfer the pattern to brown paper, trace it onto the maroon and navy stretch velvet, cut and sew. They are really comfortable, I must admit. Here's a pic of them with the new boots (and last season's jerkin, plain but serviceable, and the cavalier hat.) Pardon the poor picture quality, I was in a rush. When I'm done, I get to sew more ribbon. The Ribbon Jerkin Project will look great with these tights.
