After a couple of tries, I got the new serger threaded and working. One of the threads kept breaking, it was a matter of making sure it was threaded in the right order and none of the threads were wrapped wrong around tension wheels. I put in 4 different colors of thread, so it looks pretty cool.

I did another Parimono experiment, making the obi 3 inches instead of 4 inches wide. I have one more experiment to do, a floating obi that is sewn at the sides but not tacked down to the front. It would allow the neck opening to be bigger, and positioning of the obi easier.

Quarterly taxes for my web store are due this month. There haven't been too many sales, although I have gotten two recent ones. I'm hoping that when I have the Closed Parimono (which is much shorter than saying All-N-One) that it will be a much better seller. The Open Parimono is in some ways easier to construct, but the Closed Parimono fits a toddler better, and is harder for them to take off. I should still make and Outer Robe sometime soon, after I make the jacket and pants option.

Soon to bed, when Pari goes out.

I'm happy to be one of your recent orders :) I'm wondering if you would also consider doing a special project for me? I'm guessing you probably have the fabric laying around, and it would give you a chance to test our your new serger.

Ack, crying baby. email me carmen@gydestar.com.

Email me the proposed project at clothdaddy@clothdaddy.com, describe what you are thinking about with any relevant details. I can get back to you pretty quick, but it needs to go through my clothdaddy email so that all the information is easy to find.
