|Project Leopard Print Jeans...

I put in another hour or two on the leopard print jeans. The fly is sewn in (not really that difficult, but rather complicated compared to my usual sewing), the legs are sewn up, the topstitiching is done. All that is really left is the waist, belt loops and hemming the legs. What I find really funny is that I don't have to worry about matching up the pattern, the back pockets blend perfectly with the pants and all the seams are pretty well hidden because of the busy pattern. It will be interesting to see how Pari's pants look. I got the "Kwik-Sew:Sewing for Toddlers" today, and it looks very promising. It includes the basic patterns, and one of them is the basic side seam pants. I'll use the leftover fabric to make a pair of the leopard pants for the kid when I'm done with my own. We'll be styling big time. I already want to make variations on the jeans and I'm not done with the first pair yet.|
My sister and I are planning a garage sale sometime mid-April, so we can both clear some crap out of our houses. Exact date to be announced later, so everyone can come by and buy our crap. Hell, give me $5 and I'll drop a grab-bag of our crap off at your house this weekend.
It is late and I'm ready for bed. I may trace out the 2T size pant pattern first, maybe not. I like having our big light table for tracing, I must admit.
