|zombie walk post op...

The Good-attendance was up, over 1100 participants. The library zombie clinic tie-in was very well attended, the 3rd Street Asylum people were awesome and want to do stuff next year, lots of positive feedback from the walkers. Raised about $1500 to split between the charities, and about $200 in item donations for the humane society. |
The Bad-crowd was fine but not exactly controlled, definitely need to recruit more volunteers and have more focus for the crowd before the walk. When a few raindrops fell the crowd decided to start the walk itself, which I can't blame but was not anticipated. Shirt sales were not as stellar as I'd hoped, overstocked the shirts so there will be lots of leftovers. Next year I'll reduce the number greatly, until then I'm discounting and liquidating the shirts that I can. May also have them available at half price next year, or as promo items at something before the next walk.
The Meh-know what needs to be done better next year, but it depends on more people helping. Going to work on building that core group so I have more brains working at building a better walk, a better division of labor, and more people to help with the legwork.
Overall the walk was a success, not quite the shiny I was hoping for but definitely enlightening as to what is needed for next year.
