Pulled up a fistful of onions today, the first of my new summer squash batch appears to be fruiting nicely, and six of the new potato plants have broken ground so I know they didn't rot in the ground (after losing that first batch of walking onions I'm cautious of that happening). I'm trying out dicing, blanching and freezing surplus potatoes for long term storage, this batch was in for 4 minutes so I'll see how they do with my usual breakfast hash.

I deconstructed the monstrous computer desk for disposal, mostly it involved removing screws and letting gravity take it down. So much more room in there, and we still have some shelving and file cabinets to remove (the worthless cabinets might even be worth a few bucks as scrap metal). The dominant features of the old computer room will be parceled down to a small computer desk, and we can turn it into a bedroom for us and the kids get separate rooms.

I really need to take photos of the propane smoker and put it up on craigslist, but it is about third down in priority at the moment.
