Got the automated garden watering system completed, finally. Cost estimate, maybe $100 between the timer, splitters and hoses. Set up to water for an hour between 3-4am every night, will adjust it to every other night it it seems excessive or increase the time if it doesn't seem like enough.

Also got an estimate on insulating the attic, another estimate will be done on Thursday. Also got an estimate on insulating the exterior walls, but that may be excessive especially if we put up vinyl siding in a couple years and add insulating sheets then, but getting the estimate didn't hurt.

I transplanted 4 summer squash from the herb bed yesterday, i thought they weren't going to survive but apparently are perking up. I'm thinking next year that I'll do a rotation of planting a new batch of squash seeds monthly, so as they are killed off by bugs I'll have the next crop going.

The kids are done with speech camp so we have them in the afternoon again. Pari finished a dress for a 4H county fair submission, now we get to work on robotics and her mermaid tail sewing project. Also need to get her to do a practice batch of madelines.

My yearly vacation from the family is Naka-Kon, I try to do a biyearly getaway and this time instead of Archon I'm thinking about going to Con X KC, and then volunteering at Bikers for Babies that Sunday. It all depends on a few factors such as if the wife has grad class that weekend, but staying one night locally is much cheaper than a trip to St Louis.
