It's summer in Kansas, and over 100 degrees. In other words, sucks to do anything outside for more than a jaunt from one AC building in an AC car to another AC building. My gardening gets done mostly during the morning hours before full sun is hitting everything. Only garden update for today is that my first pumpkin has broken ground, and I got all the hose for my watering system but have yet to install it (with the heat I was afraid to wait).

Tomorrow is the last day for the kids to be in speech camp, Kiyan still has time in summer school but I'll be finding things for Pari do to besides her 4h projects (which she really gets to start cranking on now). Got the basic Lego robot assembled, she'll do a bit more with it before entering it into the county fair.

My big task for next week is to set up appointments for attic insulation quotes. Hoping a foot or more of fluff up there helps combat the heat, the AC keeps it bearable in here but I suspect insulating the attic will keep the attic heat from radiating down and wasting much of the AC energy.
