My penny in the wishing well ($5 in Megalotto tickets) didn't pan out, but then again the pennies don't always work either.

Got summer squash and cucumber seeds in the ground. Need to set up the cucumber trellis, but that can wait just a little bit. Garden was still damp from last night so I didn't water anything but the newly planted seeds just yet. In about 2 months I should have plenty of veggies, assuming I water regularly. Still pondering how I can get all the grass and weeds under control, should probably get around the raised beds then start working one bed at a time to solar sterilize them (cover with clear plastic in the middle of summer for about 2 months) and see how that works.

Tonight is a big game for KU, they are in the Final Four, win this and they go to the championship. Part of me would enjoy experiencing the madness downtown, the reasonable part of me knows that avoiding it is the wiser course of action. Not wearing my KU shirt, the only one I have is stained and I don't feel like wearing it to the restaurant when I'm working.

On the baking front I want to experiment a bit with some dough improvers, see if they do anything for my bagels and bread. Found a few home made mix recipes to play with, will do that in the next couple days.

We will be downtown if you change your mind and would like to experience it. We will be kidless too.

If you like basketball, you'll love it. If not, it will just be crowded. Although, I do have to mention that while there will likely be lots of drunk people (especially if we win), they are always very friendly drunk people. It's a good time. But Mac and I like basketball.
