Today at work was not the living hell we feared, steady business during the holiday parade but now overwhelming. The boss let me out around 2:30pm since we were down to only a few portions of fish and would be closing shortly after they sold.

While grocery shopping I got about a pound of onion sets and crammed them into a 2'x3' area, figure I'll harvest them as green onions. They are taking up some space in my hoop house base, which is really just an area that I plant stuff to play around with and experiment. The walking onions are doing great, and I planted and entire 4'x8' bed with 9 onions per sq ft that I'll let grow nice and large, possibly to store for winter use.

This coming week I need to see about planting some garlic and some potatoes, then start shopping for summer squash and cucumber seeds. Tomato and pepper plants I'm willing to wait a little longer, I don't have faith that a burst of cold weather couldn't still hit before May.
