Day in Brief... [Jun. 29th, 2011|10:09 pm]

Kids went to speech camp in the morning, I swung by the bank to see about starting a bank account for the zombie walk. Sister told me the walk needed an EIN, so I got one as a Community/Volunteer Group. I'll see about getting the account tomorrow or Friday, then the focus is on the solicitation letters to potential sponsors. I'll focus my efforts downtown because that's where the event is held, but if anyone has a business and would like to be a sponsor for the zombie walk it's $50 to get your name/logo on the back of the event shirts that will be printed, $75 and you get your choice of shirt delivered soon as they arrive. If sponsorship is high enough there will also be a sponsor banner displayed at the event.

After the kids were done at camp, Pari went fishing with my dad while I took Kiyan for a dental appointment. Taking a rabid howler monkey in for a dental checkup might have been more difficult, but only slightly. Kiyan didn't want to cooperate but they got everything checked out (all is well). After joining dad at the lake and letting Kiyan cast a practice reel for a bit we returned home for dinner, followed by our Wednesday get together with stuology  and kids at the park.

Now we are in a nice cool basement watching Star Wars (New Hope). My main thought is that George Lucas sucks for making Han shoot second. And adding the Jabba scene did nothing to advance the plot. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you have to.
