I got some ground lamb for a very good price, since the lamb meatball soup would take ingredients I don't currently have on hand I'm doing a big batch of lamb chili. Since I got started early enough I can reduce the veggies properly before browning the meat, and do a slow reduction of the liquids (I like a thick chili). |
After the chili is at a point where I don't have to stand over it constantly, I'm taking the kids out back for some rampage time while I treat the patio for weeds and get a little gardening done. Later I'm getting shelving materials to set up DVD shelving in the tv room. I figure that's enough progress for the day. There's a raw foods potluck I'd like to attend but I'm really waiting until I have more stuff to bring from the garden than a few green onions and some lettuce.
