The doctor couldn't remove the object from Pari's ear because Pari was suffering discomfort. So on Tuesday we will be having her put under, the doc yanks it out (he thinks it may be the eraser from a pencil rather than a bead) and all is done. Pari did earn a McD's drivethru trip for today's trauma, of course.

Oh, for the love of Pete, why must children always put things into things? Silly little critters.

When I was around 4 they pulled a popcorn kernel out of my ear, and when I was 5 they pulled a lima bean out of my ear. Pari made it 9 years without foreign objects in her ears, can't complain too much about that.

If it makes you feel better, we can arrange for you to make up for lost time shortly after you fall asleep. I'll have to do the math, don't think more than 3 objects per ear can be done at any one time.
