If we got any hail it didn't damage the garden or any of my freshly planted herbs (would worry about established mint that spreads like a vegan Borg but a newly planted set is vulnerable). The garden continues to grow, and with the warm weather it's growing faster so besides more wood mulch I also need to start setting up a couple of trellises. I had plans for wood framed ones but pvc makes more sense now that I've thought about it. By the time I was done with diagonal braces using wood, the cost would be several times over pvc and twine.

I checked mail from yesterday and got my knee high Napoleonic era gaiters pattern. This means I'm out of excuses to not be sewing, considering I have my patterns present and the only things still on the way from eBay are accessories that won't matter until the main garments are done. Today I dig up an empty container to use as a project box, all needed elements go into the project box until it is done and goes into a costume storage box for later use.

I also downloaded a croquis blank used for sketching out clothing and costumes, because I need to get some ideas recorded or I'll forget something that was a great idea before I focused on sewing overalls and gaiters.
