After reading a cool article about LED lights being used as very energy efficient grow lights for urban farming, I was momentarily enthused about growing maybe a tomato and pepper plant indoors. Then I see both the price of a single bulb is $75 and I'd have to go through a song and dance to pollinate the plants, and I'm now remembering that I enjoy gardening because I start in April and finish around September/October, which gives me about half the year off. Burnout by the end of the season is not uncommon.

So my dreams of indoor gardening are done for the moment. I'll wait for my garden window so I can keep some herb plants in the kitchen year round.
