I got the two new raised beds gridded with nylon cord and poultry staples, just like the other four. A couple lines on the old beds needed repair, no problem. Now that is done I'm running out of excuses for not getting that rabbit fence up.

Today I got a book in the mail called "Serve the People" by Jen Lin-Liu, a combo memoir and cookbook on Chinese cuisine. So far it's a good read. I'm hoping to make Mongolian Beef tomorrow for dinner, time permitting.

I finally got the ingredients for some oatmeal molasses bread, which is currently on it's second rise. As stuology  told me, it's perfect for peanut butter and jelly. I think the molasses makes it a bit strong for french toast.

We currently have the attic fan running, it's pulling in the delightful cool evening air. I need to call the AC place for an estimate on new installation so we know if we want to get a new unit this year. I hate the idea of another summer with the craptastic one that's holding on by a thread and really not functioning well. I suspect the savings in energy would offset the expense of a new unit within 2 years.
