Today's only real garden progress was trimming branches along the shared chain link fence, so I can hand up the anti-rabbit mesh once I find my zip ties. I haven't decided for certain if I'm going to use the plastic mesh or actually get some wire for my garden fence, either way about 24" should be enough to discourage the rabbits. Unless they are starving they are unlikely to put forth the effort to jump over a 24" fence, and I may plant some clover and such away from the garden so they have something else to munch on. I also have the patch of ground from where i pulled up weed tarp on the far side of the patio (formerly it was the kid's play area) which either needs to be prepped for a grill/smoker patio, or I could dump the remaining compost on it and plant something else. I'm thinking small patio, including enough fencing for a wind break so I can smoke when there's a bit of wind out.

The wind kicked up suddenly, which often means a storm front. I figured it was time to get inside. Next month is the wood chip sale (April 7th I think?) so I need to get the garden ready for a fresh layer of wood chips, and around the swingset and shed, too.
