The snow is coming down as promised, although it was close to 9am before it was much more than a dusting plus whatever ice already froze. We are stocked on food and ready for another day or two inside. Kiyan spits out the Tamiflu, Pari whines about it, Marz just takes it (pill form), I'm fine so far.

The company that never sent the boots apologized and said a refund should be posted shortly, I'll give them a day or two. No costume group tonight without dogsled service for everyone. I'd rather deal with snow now than when it's time for Naka-Kon next month.

So I occasionally do a load of laundry, some dishes, reread some books or read a chapter of a new one, ignore whining children, and check online to see who else is bored with the snow. I hate calling it a "snowpocalypse" because it'll probably be cleared within 2 days and everyone will be back at work/school. I think of it more as a "snowcation", the forced vacation where it's cold and you can't leave your house.

I've got food; I've got fire; I have yarn for knitting. I'm enjoying my snowcation.

Wish I had the fire. I know it's not as effective as a heat source as central heating, but as a backup it's better than nothing. And so pretty.
