figures... [Dec. 29th, 2010|11:43 pm]

One thing I'm really wanting to get is a restaurant booth.  The kind with two laminated benches and a tabletop all together on a frame, like the ones you see at Subway or many other eateries. I figure it'd be easy to clean, the kids can't drag off the chairs anymore, they can't tip anything over without the use of a power lift, and it would just look cool. I've been browsing ebay and craigslist for a bit trying to hunt them down.

I missed several on craigslist because I wasn't browsing on a daily basis. Ebay usually has local pickup only. The cost has to be reasonable, because I know that for $600 I can have one delivered to my door in my choice of colors. Looks like average cost used is $75-200. There's an ebay auction with 3 of them for only $400 in Missouri, but it's in Cape Girardeau and a 7 hour drive each way. Which is a shame, if it was closer I could get all three then resell the other two to pretty much break even (or keep one on the back patio, whatever). Short of someone with a truck big enough to hold all 3 booths wanting to spend 14 hours driving across Missouri and back, that's out.

So I continue my hunt for the restaurant booth.

You know, I swear I saw one downstairs at the Antique Mall downtown. You might call and ask them about anyone having one there.

I think they do have one with a Jayhawk theme, it's advertised on craigslist. But I'm looking for a very specific kind of booth. One will pop up eventually, I just hate waiting.
