Today we made a quick trip to KC for a bit of shopping. To begin with, I aired up the tires and suddenly the gas mileage improved incredibly in the Galant. Amazing what 10-20 psi low will do to fuel consumption. When I made a KC run last week and it ate up a third of a tank for something that should at most require a quarter tank, I knew there was something up.

First we hit Lush in Oak Park Mall for Marz's annual shopping trip. Marz shopped while I got to chat with bountifulpots  and rowangolightly who happened to be right there. Afterwards we went to the 888 International Market where Marz had some duck stuff (congee with preserved duck egg), Pari has bbq steamed buns, and Kiyan and I shared some pork noodle soup. How to order and pay wasn't obvious so we had to ask, but the food was good. As Marz put it, "genuine". We got some frozen buns for home and headed back. I didn't get any more knives, but I did get a cool pair of scissors that will be great for cutting the ragging on some quilts. Plus it looks cool, too.

This morning I put a pork roast in the crockpot, it should be ready for dinner. The recipe I looked up used onion soup mix, minced garlic, pepper, cooking wine and soy sauce. We'll know how it turned out before too long.

The 888 International Market had some roasted ducks that looked good, next time I may plan to take one home.
