deconstruction/construction... [Oct. 31st, 2010|11:39 am]

I took apart an easel that Marz got for the kids It's a higher end one (can't remember the brand), but the problem was when one of the big plastic wingnuts fell off and got lost, you couldn't find replacements even through the company. Our generic one from Target or wherever uses standard nuts and screws, at least.  So I've taken it apart, and will probably mount the dry erase board and the utensil holders on the wall in the craft room. I also need to hang up the thread spool holders to get some organization going on in there, and maybe something to hold up the costume hats.

The rag quilt continues to progress slowly, I'm going to sew the squares until I'm out of the black sheet squares that make up the middle layer. If I have more than I need for the quilt I'll make some sort of pillow case that matches. I'm almost out of cut up tshirts and will need to process some more soon.

Today I'll move out some large empty storage bins that are going to a friend, which will make room for more craft room organizing, including finding the wall space for the thread holders. That should count as progress.
