rag quilt progress... [Oct. 30th, 2010|09:50 am]

A quick count tells me I have about 28 quilt squares so far, which would do maybe 3 rows of 8-9 squares per row for the size I want (8" squares, makes a 6" square after sewing them together, figure I want the quilt about 4' wide). I'm not sure how long to make it yet, I figure that I'll finish sewing up all the squares I can with what I cut out before I arrange and sew them together. Popping downstairs for a few minutes at a time yields me a couple squares, and I can get the entire quilt done in a few days. I like the idea of the rag quilt because there is no real finishing work, just sewing together the squares and cutting the edges for a ragged look on top.
