I'm loving this Beetlejuice outfit for many reasons, besides Halloween. The way the pattern was simplified for the jacket so that it could be made quickly and cheaply has given me ideas for making my own suit jacket pattern, and the many obnoxious things that could be done with it. I'll play around with drafting suit jacket patterns after the kids stuff is done.|
Assuming I use the two shirts made this weekend for the kids, then I need to finish pants and skirt for their outfits. Then the pirate coats, which I fear is more complicated than it will probably turn out to be. I think the difficulty will be in digging up two pirate hats for the kids, so I may hit a Halloween store for that simple accessory.
And a note to parents out there-matzo crackers are a decent snack for a 5 year old, but they will spread those crumbs over every square inch of floor.
