So far the bug that hit Kiyan all weekend has had minimal impact on me. I slept a good part of the day, ate carefully (and sparingly), some ginger ale and Pepto Bismol to treat the symptoms so I transition out of the illness easier. So far it's all livable, just not pleasant. Marz also stayed home today feeling ill.

I have tentative plans for visiting the haunted houses in KC. Depending on who decides to go we may only hit one (I'd vote Edge of Hell, personally), if it's just me and a friend I may see about a quad pass for all four haunted houses. If you only feed every couple years, might as well binge. We'll see how that plays out later this week.

Looking at the second shirt I made Pari I'm just not happy with how it turned out. I can use it as the basis for something else or just call it a learning experience, but overall I just figured out how to make a better one if I want the lacy frilly girly pirate shirt. Just wish it hadn't taken two hours of sewing to figure it out. I also think a slightly heavier cotton for the shirt would look better, but we'll see. Next is pants and and skirt for the kids, which will either be a solid red or solid black, depending on what i find downstairs.

I'm pondering a trip to KC Costume this week to see if they have the Beetlejuice suit so I can try it on and see how well it's made. I can always make a better one if I find the fabric, but just spending the money for the costume suit may be best if that's what I want to wear for Halloween. I was also thinking I may be able to line the suit and make it a better quality, depending on it's construction, but I want to see how well it's made first.

Today's errands include a visit from Kiyan's clinician, Pari's piano lesson, and surviving the night hoping all symptoms are gone tomorrow. I think right now I'm partially feeling bad from laying down all day and eating so little.
