pirate shirt, part two... [Oct. 17th, 2010|01:42 pm]

The shirt I made last night fits Kiyan well enough that I'm going to work on Pari's more girly shirt today. It will also give me the chance to touch up the minor issues with the yoke (making it an inch longer, and fixing seam allowance to the standard 1/2" rather than the 1/4" I accidentally did when not calculating right).

So this one will be about like the other, but in a white or offwhite muslin rather than the rustic looking osnaburg. I'll also extend the sleeves and have some frilly cuffs, and see about adding some ruffles around the keyhole neck. I know how I plan to do it, I just don't know how well it will work.

This also means Kiyan has a shirt that should fit him for about 3 years. Excellent.
