Kiyan has an unpleasant bit of ailment that will hopefully pass (heh) soon, probably just something he ate. Parenthood has made me able to handle things that would have been vomit inducing years ago. |
After speaking with basingstoke last night on IM I got a hankering for some Lord of the Rings on the big screen downstairs since the kids were out (crashing hard after swimming, much like I wanted to). So I made it through Fellowship without totally drifting off (awake enough to recognize closing credits and shut down the projector, and crawl back upstairs). Tonight will probably be Two Towers, although I need to get some sewing done. Pari needs her updated pirate outfit for Halloween, I should do simple pirate coats for both kids, and it won't get done if I don't at least pull out the patterns. So in a bit I'll be taking pari to tap class, and getting more posterboard for pattern making. I should also get a separate pattern storage for the kids stuff (large manilla art folders to great and are priced right, a flat art folder would be even better).
I also have plans for a tshirt rag quilt. But first is Pari's pirate dress. I found a great formula for making the peasant blouse, and want to see how well it works. Step one, measure Pari and start on the pattern. I'll let you know how it goes after that.
