Yesterday's brisket was not a total success because the smoker ran out of propane before the smoke really started up, so I did the cooking in the oven with no smoke, no brine, just a rub. It turned out nice and juicy, but not with the full flavor potential. But I do plan to try again after restocking on propane.
We have a houseguest through Sunday morning, a friend who lived in Lawrence about 8 years ago. He was kind enough to help move an entertainment center with my parents and Sister from parent house to Sister house. He's out for the day checking out Lawrence. The downstairs being done made it easy for him to find crash space, with two full futons down there.
I got the projector hung from the ceiling right in front of the component niche, and aimed well. There will be some work getting all the random stuff that was put onto the component shelves put away, the components and cords arranged nicely, and the shelves bolted into place. Overall it's good progress, and with the projector put in place most of the electronics work is done and now it's cleanup. We still need a new subwoofer, but that's for the future.
Now it's time for Pari's tap class, followed by shopping while Marz continues to work on her second book (her first book about android phones is published, now she's coauthoring another book, with a third possible. She's on her laptop constantly, I may never see my wife again as long as she's writing).
