With Pari's help I harvested maybe 8-10 gallon container of apples from the front yard. After about 90+ minutes of work (wash, chop, grind, press) we now have around 2 gallons of fresh pressed cider on the stove coming to a boil (pasteurize, definitely!). There are more apples on our rather pathetic trees, so I may get another couple gallons later. Unfortunately they are so high up that it's difficult to harvest them, so mostly I spread out a tarp and shake the branches.

4H meetup is tonight, so at the moment I'm boiling cider, cooking turkey brats for dinner, and waiting for Marz to get home.

Lunch was sushi with stuology , who was kind enough to treat me. This of course means that I'm obligated to treat her to sushi in the future, meaning another Yokohamas trip is in the future. Bonus points to me for even trying something new (crabby dragon roll).
