After a bit of work downstairs, the projector, surround system and a dvd player are hooked together. I have some staples to hold up the wire until I have something more permanent arranged. I'd test it out tonight but after sitting for about 18 months, most of the remotes are dead. I have AA and AAA batteries but the projector remote requires a round flat one that I don't feel like running to Wal-Mart for at the moment. It's only a shame because setting up the projector and having it ready to go means I could start tacking up the cables and make it ready for the kids to go down there.

I also know that over the next year we'll probably replace several of the components with newer systems, which makes me dislike the idea of doing too much work that gets torn down next summer.

Tomorrow is yet another trip to the dentist, just a cleaning but I still hate how often I have to see them. "Have you been flossing?" they ask, looking in my mouth. It's a trap, much like a cops asking "Do you know how fast you were going over the limit?" After the dentist I'll see if i can finish the downstairs, and play some sort of obnoxious movie to start off the new life of our basement tv room.

Just use the Harmony. It can control all those devices.
