Dad and I got the first load of compost around 9am, the second load at maybe 10:30ish. After unloading two truckloads of compost and wheeling them to a pile in two different gardens, I am pooped. A hot bath and frozen pizza in the oven will lead to my revitalization (bath is done, 10 minutes left on the pizza).

I'll work on composting the garden when this weather system has passed. Everything is piled by the garden, I'll clear out the dead plants and pile compost on the top this weekend/next week. Depending on what is left over, I may make the two new raised beds that will be used next year.

One of the walking onions is actually growing. I suspect that after I planted them the constant rain we had for a week rotted the bulbs in the ground. But with one survivor, there is hope for the species without reordering more. I plan to make at least one of the smaller beds into a walking onion/garlic bed. The other may become an herb garden that I replant every year.

So tired.....
