More stuff is done downstairs and I've started moving the kid toy bins down into their niche. I suspect that Dad will not like my mitered corners and help redo two of the trim pieces, otherwise it's looking good.

Pari is finishing up some homework, after which either we'll have time and I'll show her that season 6 of Dirty Jobs is on netflix instant view now. It's a fun show, but after the pig farm episode Marz said no watching it during dinner anymore. I'll give her that one.

In 2 hours Kiyan has another session with the reading project, let's see how his behavior is this time. New routines aren't his favorite, but once he's comfortable I'm hoping he does well.

I'm proud that when I had the munchies last night I actually got some fruits and such at Wal-Mart rather than a box of cookies. I don't claim to eat extremely well (especially after last nights pizza, but that was a provided dinner at a meeting) but snacking is more difficult to do in a healthy manner because fruits and veggies have a shelf life of maybe a week or less in the fridge. Junk food has a half life of 2 years in the cabinet. Half life doesn't mean it's bad, it just means the cookies taste kinda stale.

I'm considering separating the couch into it's 2 pieces for a meeting at our house tonight to make seating easier for everyone, and to see how we like that option. The only drawback, besides the kids knowing it's possible (although probably difficult for them), is that kiyan will have an easier time pushing them around on the flooring. I considered an area rug to keep them in place, which is possible if we like the couch in 2 pieces. The other drawback is that the kids can mess with the living room windows easier, which need new window treatments since the blinds are torn up (and new windows, but that'll be an ongoing project).

After a trip to the Halloween store I was pondering some zombie makeup demos, just for fun. It would be fun, but to be honest it would also be rushed. Maybe after this year's zombie walk I'll consider it.
