So far today I've signed Pari up for tap dance classes at the Lawrence Art Center and confirmed delivery of the new couch between 12:30-2pm on Saturday. Which means we get to buy tap shoes for Pari and tomorrow I clean the living room in preparation for the couch's arrival. |
Pari has grown, so the smaller clothing gets bagged for division among friends with younger girls (fancy dresses already claimed by a KC friend of Marz's for her daughter, everything else a local friend gets first dibs on). The only problem is that Pari is so skinny the leggings she prefers are the right length but often big in the waist. One upcoming project is to do a pattern for leggings, so I can make her properly fitting garments as needed. Kiyan fit the shorts i made her earlier, which means that I need to adjust that pattern too for her height.
And I'm starting the sad project of culling some tshirts so that I can make my first rag quilt. Just because they have a hole doesn't mean the shirt isn't good anymore, but it is a good enough reason to remove it from the drawer and put aside for the quilt. I may use flannel for the inner layer, but that's a decision for when I have enough shirts to finish the quilt.
