Hear that thunder? That's the sound of my Busker Fest plans going down the toilet tonight. Maybe I'll get some time out there tomorrow evening.

The kids niche is primed, tonight I'll finish painting the ceiling. When it's dry enough I'll paint the remaining green wall (and duct cover), then the two blue walls. Besides some touchup all that is left for the TV room is trim painting and carpet installation. Then we get to put up the screen and start putting in the electronics again.

Marz made tacos with some grass fed beef. It had so much more flavor. I need to see about ordering a significant portion of a whole local cow at some point, probably have it divided into steaks and ground beef since we really don't do many roasts. I have a freezer downstairs that would probably hold a quarter cow, maybe a half.

There is also a guy on craigslist who routinely is trying to sell portions of grassfed cow. Under farm goods. Decent prices, given it's grassfed (still more expensive than standard store cow).

We might be interested in splitting with you somehow, if you get past the speculation stage. We have room in the freezer, and go through more meat now that Lawnchair's not a veggie. Plus, I like cooking roasts.

See why I asked if that one beef was grain finished? It does make a difference. Also, the processing could to. Which beef did Marz buy? The grass-fed beef that I have on my radar is butchered by Steve's, and they dry age it for 14 days before you get it. A lot of butchers wet age beef, like the kind you buy at the grocery. The dry-age process adds a lot of flavor as well.

If you make it to Buskerfest tonight look for Matt. He'll be in front of US Bank at 6:30 and then in the breezeway between 6th & 7th (I think. 7th & 8th?) at 8:30. Have a ball!

And definitely go with grass fed. We're almost ready for another 1/4 beef--that's all that will fit in our freezer--and will get it from my parents' neighbor. mmmm. home grown beef.
