The refrigerator pickles were sweeter than I consider ideal, but not a bad start. I'll add more spice and half the sugar for the next batch once there are all eaten.

Dad continues work on the tv room, gooping on the drywall compound. I helpfully stay out of the way and call it "watching the kids". Sometimes I even do dishes.

Kiyan still fights the potty training, but makes some progress. Won't go on the commode for me, but he'll change his own underwear whenever he wets. I swear he's doing it to drive me nuts.

I pinged the zombie walk organizer, seeing if I can help get things rolling early. I suspect she doesn't want to spend too much time organizing an event that is over within 2 hours and is up to 3 months away, but I know making a few decisions early makes for less stress right before the event. A few people have already said they'd like to help this year, I'm wanting to help organize zombie counters, crossing guards and cleanup crew to bring up the rear. And a single meeting to brainstorm how to best organize everything, cleverly disguised as a meetup at Freestate Brewer. I'm trying to word the messages in the "I'm wanting to be helpful to make for a less stressful, more fun event!" rather than "I know you started this event and it's yours, but here are all these ideas I have." Let's see when she gets back to me on facebook.
