Two hours of signing a whole bunch of paperwork, and the refinance is now in it's final processing stage. Kiyan is used to having whomever comes over paying attention to him, so for two hours he was rather upset that it wasn't all about him. We got through signing our names and initialing things, now we wait for the final word that it's all done. We'll be turning the final 21 years of our 30 year loan into a 15 year with a much lower interest rate, and enough cash back to knock off the credit cards. And we'll be paying about the same amount that we are now each month (elevated slightly, but not by much).

I got six of the 25 squares done for my first quilt. I forgot how much leaning over the sewing machine hurts your back after about an hour. But the project is started, another couple sessions and I'll have all the squares done, followed by sewing them into one big piece. I'll figure out exact quilting and backing soon enough.

The kids are currently cuddled together on the couch sleeping. It's very cute, I took a picture, and will upload it soon. I also picked the first tomato of the season (actually Marz picked it, I just had a slice). Cucumbers continue to grow, one is about 5" long now. Some sort of insect is munching my kale leaves, I'll take one in to Earl Mays and see if they can recommend a treatment.
