|not so sweet...

I've reduced the sugar in my iced tea to 1/3 cup per gallon! This is a big improvement, considering less than 6 months ago it was 3/4 cup, then 1/2 cup. The bad part is that now I can taste the tea, and cheap tea from the Asian, Indian or Middle Eastern markets may not be good enough any more. So I got some fresh, good stuff from the Merc, if I like it best we'll see if I can use up the cheap stuff mixed in and I'll just spend more on the fresh tea leaves, but less on sugar. |
Kiyan apparently thinks I'm good to snuggle up with. I think my arm keeps falling asleep. Long as he's asleep I can sneak out to farmer's market when they open, restock on tomatoes and such. Mine are weeks away from ripe. I'm curious about which cucumbers are blooming, I can't remember which of the varieties I planted where. I suspect they are the lemon cucumbers.
Yep, he's awake. Time to get Kiyan dressed for our market trip in about 20 minutes. Pari has art class where she gets to work with her digital camera, this evening we have the LAP picnic (25 year anniversary of the language acquisition preschool at KU). There's a birthday gathering I'd like to attend but I have the feeling it'll be after 8-9pm before the kids are settled and I could make my escape, and it'll probably be over by then.
